Porsche 928 Full Interior Retrim

We’ve finished our part; there’s still more to come

Let's take a step back in time, all the way back to 2022 when this 928 first arrived at d:class. Way back when it was a good and honest example of a Porsche 928 with the iconic V8 engine. The vehicle featured a lovely dark blue paint with matching blue leather interior and carpet. Some age-related marks inside and out, but nothing out of the ordinary. We grabbed some photos before stripping the interior, as we needed to create some renders for our customer, plus the car was being sent off for some major changes.

With our Render To Reality services, we were able to create a variety of options for our customer. Working with them, we promptly reached a final decision. We start this process by photographing some samples of leather, fabrics, carpets, and more (as seen in the first image). This is to ensure an accurate colour match for the renders, giving the best possible example of how the interior could look.
Below are a few options which were pitched to our customer. No AI here, just skill, attention to detail, and a personal experience for our customer.
After some time, the vehicle returned to us with a whole new look. The 928 had been sent away for a respray in metallic beige. The car was also sent for an EV conversion. Times like these, we are glad there isn't a comment section on these blog posts. Tongue-in-cheek aside, the craftsmanship involved in that process is admirable. We believe this 928 has rightfully earned the badge of being a restomod. Fresh paint, fresh interior retrim, warm colours throughout, and a future-proof EV swap, mean many more miles can be enjoyed in this iconic 80s Porsche.

Our customer finalised spec with a lovely Porsche two-tone distressed brown leather and tan nappa leather with perforated seat centres. They then opted for a Porsche cream carpet, very retro!
This vehicle is now complete our end. The next step is for the rest of the EV conversion to take place, and other areas that need finishing like the speakers, radio, and gear selector (as it is no longer an automatic).
